🔧 Surface protection with impra®lan-Grund G400
To ensure long-lasting protection of the burned wood surface, we use impra®lan-Grund G400 – a high-performance water-based primer developed by RÜTGERS Organics GmbH (Germany). This product is specially designed to protect exterior wood surfaces from blue stain fungi and decay, making it ideal for façade cladding, terraces, fences, and other outdoor applications.
Made with low-VOC acrylic dispersion and biocidal agents such as IPBC and propiconazole, it offers:
✅ Excellent adhesion to charred wood;
✅ Fast drying (dust-dry in ~3 hours, recoatable in ~4 hours);
✅ UV- and weather-resistance when used in a coating system;
✅ Uniform penetration and easy sanding;
✅ Suitable for brushing, dipping, or flooding methods.
Although it is not classified as fully ecological due to its biocidal content, G400 complies with strict EU environmental standards and provides a reliable base layer for additional oils or finishes. This makes it a smart technical choice for preserving the beauty and durability of natural charred wood surfaces in harsh outdoor conditions.
⚠ Note: Not suitable for indoor use or food-contact surfaces.
